The Open Water Diver course is the most popular dive program in the world! This is your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure in diving. As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, the most widely recognized and respected rating in the world; you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18 meters/ 60 feet.
Duration: Our course can be completed as short as in 2 days, but the most recommended is in 3 or 4 days, depending on your agenda and the climate.
That’s why our location is superb. Punta Uva Dive Center is set up in where for many is the most beautiful beach from the Caribbean coast. Our Beach Front Dive Shop is a few barefoot steps away from the turquoise warm waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Our two-story house is an ideal spot for underwater & nature lovers. Amidst the green rainforest, the only sounds you will hear are those of the sea, birds and howler monkeys.
The course is divided into two:
Knowledge lessons: You will start watching your Open Water DVD at our lounge area. The lessons are conducted by our highly trained staff, either at our open classroom or under the ancient beach almond tree. You’ll have to complete the reading of the Open Water Manual, wherever you feel comfortable, at your place, at our gorgeous garden, at the beach or maybe at our hammock area.
Practical lessons: Its what you have been waiting for! It’s now time to go underwater! In your first confined water immersion you will be developing and improving all the variety of skills necessary to scuba dive safely, our top priority. The confined open water sessions are shore dives at the most secluded beach spot. At your pace and when your Instructor feels you are ready to go open water, then you will enter confidently into the amazing Caribbean underwater Kingdom. Enjoy the ride!

Discover Scuba Diving
If you want to feel the unique experience of scuba diving on a tropical live coral reef and don’t have the time for a full Open Water Diver Course, then the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of ours PADI Professionals in pool or pool-like conditions. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills and might even head off to experience an open water adventure.

Scuba Diver
The PADI Scuba Diver program is a pre-entry level certification that is perfect for vacationers or people who only plan to dive a couple times a year.
As a subprogram of the PADI Open Water Diver program, the PADI Scuba Diver rating allows you to get certified quickly and easily by minimizing time constraints. With the PADI Scuba Diver certification you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet anywhere in the world.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing pool dives, knowledge development sessions and by making two open water (ocean or lake) dives.

Advanced Diving
Advanced Open Water Diver
Advance Open Water Diver takes you to another level in scuba diving. If you complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive and three Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn this certification. You can choose from: Night Diver, Deep Diver, AWARE-Fish Identification, Underwater Naturalist, Boat Diver, Underwater Navigator, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Multilevel Diver, Drift Diver and many more. As a certified PADI Advance Open Water Diver, you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 30 meters/ 100 feet.
After your five dives, you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater environment.

Adventure in Diving
Once you get your Open Water Diver certification you are qualify onto the Adventures in Diving. As a certified diver you can discover the variety of options that the liquid world has to offer. If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification. Emergency First Response
Primary Care (CPR)
This non-diving course teaches you how to respond to life-threatening emergencies, including Breathing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). This certification is a prerequisite for the Padi Rescue Diver course as well of all the PADI Pro courses.
Secondary Care (First Aid)
This course covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.
Care for Children Course
The Emergency First Response Care for Children course is an innovative CPR, AED and First Aid training course that teaches participants how to provide emergency care for injured or ill children (ages one to eight) and infants less than one year old. Participants learn about the types of medical emergencies that children face, and how they differ from adult conditions. The curriculum also includes the importance of attending to basic emergency situations with children, the emotional aspects of caring for children, secondary care for children, and preventing common injuries and illnesses in children.

Rescue Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level because you'll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the five open water sessions, you'll cover: Self-rescue and diver stress, dive first aid, emergency management and equipment, swimming and non-swimming assists, panicked diver response, underwater problems, missing diver procedures, surfacing the unconscious diver, inwater artificial respiration, egress (exits), first aid procedures for pressure related accidents, dive accident scenarios.
The PADI Rescue Diver certification is a prerequisite for all Professional level PADI courses, beginning with the PADI Divemaster certification.
